BICC 2026 Application

 The Boston International Music Competition (BIMC) is thrilled to announce the 2nd annual Boston International Composition Competition (BICC), an exciting platform for composers and composition students from around the world aged 7 to 35 to showcase your original works. This competition aims to celebrate musical creativity and innovation, inviting talented composers from around the globe to express themselves through a variety of styles and instrumentation. Whether you're a fledgling emerging artist or an experienced creator, BICC offers an unparalleled opportunity to share your unique talent with the world.

The BICC provides an inspiring environment for composers to explore your artistry. The style is unstrained, from classical to contemporary genres like jazz and world music, BICC expects participants to push the boundaries of your creativity. This is a great opportunity to experiment with different musical forms and instruments, and your efforts will be recognized as they should be. We will help you realize your dreams!

Please read the BICC Rules and Policies before submitting your application. Please fill out the form below and attach (1) a clear copy of your Passport or Photo ID, (2) a JPEG file of your artistic photograph with a size of 300KB to 600KB, (3) a PDF copy of your composition score, and (4) an audio file in mp3 format (No larger than 10 MB) or a video link on YouTube. 

Live recording is encouraged and preferred. No .xml file is needed.

For video submissions, please submit a web link of YouTube, or Bilibili. DO NOT submit a video file! Video files in MP4 format in the links are recommended.

Codes for Age Groups:

      A - Elementary (7-10 years old)

      B - Junior (11-14 years old)

      C - Senior (15-18 years old)

      D1 - Young Artist (19-35 years old): Non-Music Major

      D2 - Young Artist (19-35 years old): Music Major
